Check requirements for your passport
Travelling to Spain
Spain pairs big-city breaks in Madrid and Barcelona with the beaches of the Costa del Sol and the Balearic and Canary Islands. Andalusia — Seville, Granada and Córdoba — is especially popular with visitors interested in its Andalusian and Moorish heritage.
Planning tips for Spain
- Southern Spain is very hot in July and August; spring and autumn are more comfortable for sightseeing.
- The Canary Islands are far from the mainland — plan flights between them and the peninsula separately.
- If you are visiting several countries on one trip, list them in order and note where you will spend the most nights.

How Vola helps with your Spain trip
- 01
Check the requirements for your passport
Select your passport above. Vola only shows requirements from records verified against a named official source, with the source and last verification date. If your route is not verified yet, the page says so — it never guesses.
- 02
Prepare and upload your documents
Start an application and upload documents as you collect them. Your progress is saved as a draft, so you can come back and finish later.
- 03
See the price before you pay
The Vola service fee and any government fee we have verified are shown before payment. A government fee we have not verified is never estimated.
- 04
Track your application
Follow each status update in your dashboard and message the Vola team from the same page.
Questions about Spain applications
Does Vola issue Spain visas?
No. Vola is an independent visa assistance company, not a government agency or embassy. The decision on any Spain visa or travel authorisation is always made by the relevant government authority; Vola helps you understand the requirements and prepare a complete application.
Where do the Spain requirements shown on Vola come from?
From records Vola staff verify against a named official source. Each result shows that source and the date it was last verified, and records are re-checked on a schedule. If there is no verified record for your passport yet, you will see "Requirements being verified" and can ask to be notified.
Can I start my Spain application before I have every document?
Yes. Your application is saved as a draft while you work on it, so you can upload documents as you collect them. A passport scan and a photo are needed before you submit.
How much does a Spain application cost with Vola?
It depends on your passport and trip. Before you pay, Vola shows its service fee and, when it has been verified, the government fee. If the government fee is not verified, Vola tells you rather than estimating it.
