Check requirements for your passport
Travelling to Thailand
Thailand combines Bangkok's temples and markets with the islands and beaches of Phuket, Krabi and Koh Samui and the mountains and old city of Chiang Mai in the north — a common choice for honeymoons and family holidays.
Planning tips for Thailand
- Monsoon timing differs between the Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) and the Gulf coast (Koh Samui) — check the season for the coast you choose.
- Bangkok has two airports; budget airlines often use Don Mueang.
- Keep island transfers and hotel dates aligned with your application dates.

How Vola helps with your Thailand trip
- 01
Check the requirements for your passport
Select your passport above. Vola only shows requirements from records verified against a named official source, with the source and last verification date. If your route is not verified yet, the page says so — it never guesses.
- 02
Prepare and upload your documents
Start an application and upload documents as you collect them. Your progress is saved as a draft, so you can come back and finish later.
- 03
See the price before you pay
The Vola service fee and any government fee we have verified are shown before payment. A government fee we have not verified is never estimated.
- 04
Track your application
Follow each status update in your dashboard and message the Vola team from the same page.
Questions about Thailand applications
Does Vola issue Thailand visas?
No. Vola is an independent visa assistance company, not a government agency or embassy. The decision on any Thailand visa or travel authorisation is always made by the relevant government authority; Vola helps you understand the requirements and prepare a complete application.
Where do the Thailand requirements shown on Vola come from?
From records Vola staff verify against a named official source. Each result shows that source and the date it was last verified, and records are re-checked on a schedule. If there is no verified record for your passport yet, you will see "Requirements being verified" and can ask to be notified.
Can I start my Thailand application before I have every document?
Yes. Your application is saved as a draft while you work on it, so you can upload documents as you collect them. A passport scan and a photo are needed before you submit.
How much does a Thailand application cost with Vola?
It depends on your passport and trip. Before you pay, Vola shows its service fee and, when it has been verified, the government fee. If the government fee is not verified, Vola tells you rather than estimating it.
